What is the quality of evidence that is produced from the cameras? Do the cameras record the date and time?

Covert Law Enforcement Surveillance Systems are remote view and remote control systems. All Advanced Covert Systems can be accessed by the case agents from their cell phones, tablet, or computer. The images are transmitted via 4G LTE network to the recording server. Most police departments have existing hardware and software that they use to record interview rooms or building cameras. Being that Covert Law Enforcement is an Axis Partner, our surveillance systems can be easily integrated into the vast majority of IP camera systems. As well, some agencies choose to have their covert cameras on a separate server or they do not have an existing infrastructure. In this case, we provide the agency state of the art software to use on an existing server/computer for under $500 or we can provide a rack mount server for under $2,500. All systems that record the cameras have a date and time stamp as well as 32X playback making reviewing daily footage easy and under just a couple of minutes. If you have further questions, please review our SERVER DEMO page for further details.

In addition to the images being recorded on a remote server, they are also recorded onto an SD Card. Our SD cards can be programmed to record images at 30 frames per second to allow for a very smooth play back. This SD card is primarily used as a backup to the recording server. We proudly provide a 128 GB SD Card with all Advanced Covert Systems as well as offer an upgraded 256 SD card to allow for months of storage.

Does it require any special hardware to record?

Covert Law Enforcement surveillance systems come with everything needed to run a smooth covert operation. All we need from you is an active SIM Card tied to an unlimited data plan from any major carrier.

How Long are the recordings kept?

The servers we provide are programmed to retain video footage for 6 months to a full year of use. If you will be using your own server it will be dependent upon predetermined settings set by your department.

What are the Night Vision Capabilities?

Covert Law Enforcement uses one of the lowest low light rating of any non-light-supplemented camera on the market. This camera system has a LUX rating of .008.

Are the camera systems easy to use?

Covert Law Enforcement was founded by Law Enforcement Personnel. We understand police officers, we know that they just "want shit to work" so that they can do their job. We do everything we can to facilitate the ease of use. We are constantly training new detectives as they rotate in and out of Investigations. Most agencies make these transitions without our help because it really is easy to use and new officers pick it up quickly. Covert Law Enforcement has the unique ability to remotely monitor and control the environment and the physical components of the camera systems. We simplify things as much as possible and work 24/7 to provide the type of technical service that our clients need.

Do you have any references from agencies that use your cameras?

YES! We do not advertise which agencies use our cameras, but we have approval from several of them to provide references if needed. Please contact us for the references and we will be happy to provide you with detailed contact information to some of the agencies that currently use our camera systems.

How much do the camera systems weigh?

The Advanced Systems Pole Camera weighs approximately 25 pounds. It is custom steel housing enclosure built tough and has survived the fall off of roofs and shipping to states all over the US.

The Rapid Deployment Ground Mount system weighs 250 pounds. This is a big benefit because it does several things:

  1. It adds credibility to its environmental setting because it looks like a permanent fixture. We know of cases where this type of system was actually sat on by the suspects and they grew suspicious because of the permanent feel that the system offers.
  2. It helps prevent someone from tampering with it, or taking it. Even though our systems are also equipped with tamper alarms.
  3. It allows for the longest battery life of any camera system in it’s class. Our Rapid Deployment Ground Mount Camera System can work up to a minimum of 7-12 days on continuous use. Call us for details.
How many people are needed to deploy the Covert Systems?

The Advanced Systems Pole Camera camera system has a rapid mounting bracket which allows for easy installation that can be done by one person. The easy plug’n play feature allows case agents to simply give it to a friendly neighbor and ask them to plug it in and put it in their window if needed. This means it can easily be deployed by someone that has never gotten any training on it. We also offer a vehicle mount to allow for 360 degree viewing.

The Rapid Deployment Ground Mount System can also be deployed inside of a vehicle if desired and therefore does not require anyone other than a driver to drop off the vehicle. However, it is designed to be deployed on its own and this type of deployment requires at least 2 people. It is designed to pull up a short or long distance from the target location and simply lift it from the truck or SUV and place it on the ground, remove the handles, and walk away. No wires to attach! It can be deployed in under a minute if needed. We actually train our case agents tricks that drag this process out for the simple fact that it is not as suspicious if it takes time to deploy as opposed to quickly deploying it.

What prevents someone from taking the camera systems?

The small window/pole mount is typically placed in a location that makes theft difficult. On a pole, or on property that belongs to a friendly citizen.

The Rapid Deployment Ground Mount System weighs 250 pounds and is extremely difficult to move once the handles have been taken off. The camera system has a remote notification alarm system built into it. It is a physical alarm that can be used as a tamper switch or a perimeter alarm. Once the alarm is triggered the camera system will send text notification. The camera system has GPS capabilities that can be accessed by Covert Law Enforcement if needed. The solid metal custom enclosure is the most solid enclosure available in this industry. It has withstood some pretty amazing abuse by police officers all over.

We also use cover company ruse tactics which add to the credibility of the systems. Call us for details.
